Review First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream

First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream is describe as a super emollient cream for anyone with severely dry, scaly skin due to harsh winter weather, aggressive cosmetic treatments, or skin condition such as dermatitis, eczema, and keratosis pilaris. With the help of colloidal oatmeal, shea butter, soothing eucalyptus oil, and ceramides, Ultra Repair Cream provides immediate relief and visible improvement for distressed skin.

Price: 6 oz. tube for $28. Also comes in 2oz and 12oz size.

Pros: It is formulated without parabens, synthetic fragrances, and synthetic dyes. It is moisturizing and thick yet absorb to a matte and non greasy finish. I don’t use this everyday but where it really shines is when my skin acts up. At the end of last summer, right before my wedding, maybe because I was under enormous stress but somehow my skin was terribly dry and flaky. No matter what moisturizer, primer, foundation, hydrating spray I used, my skin was just a flaky mess. I was freaking out as my wedding date is just right around the corner. Thank goodness for this cream. It’s the only thing that is able to keep my skin hydrated throughout the day and doesn’t turn my foundation into a cakey mess. My skin was not in its normal shape but much more manageable.

Also last week my skin was irritated and scaly from windburn. I use this and it was immediately better the next day. I find that when my skin is irritated, I just use this for a few nights and its back to normal. I also use it on my arms where I get chicken bumps. It helps keep it moisturize and soft. Too bad the price is not cheap enough to slather all over the body but it is very reasonable for such a wonderful product.

Cons: Nothing really except that it comes in a jar. I scoop some out into a smaller jar so I can keep it fresh and clean longer. I also wish it contains other antioxidant, if it does, I would definitely use it daily.

Overall: Even though it is not my daily moisturizer as it lacks antioxidants. It is a staple in my cabinet, my go to cream when my skin is dry or acting crazy. I love how it is matte and non greasy, I imagine even combination skin can find it helpful. Rating: 5/5.

Disclosure: The product(s) being review was purchased by me for personal use or review purpose.

  1. Great cream for face. I have very dry, sensitive skin and I have eczema. This really did help my facial skin when it was going through a difficult time with the transition from summer to fall and fall to winter and my skin just kept getting drier and prone to itching and redness (eczema pretty much). I have been using this for a month and I have noticed a significant difference in my skin. I think the cream has helped my skin seal in moisture because I no longer have the dry patches, itching, redness or tightness. I definitely recommend this to thoes with eczema.
The cream is not too thick and it quickly absorbs into the skin and does not feel greasy. Because I have very dry skin, I globbed this on my face where initially the white cream was visible all over my face, but within minutes it was absorbed into my skin. This cream also has antioxidants which is suppose to be good for your skin. This comes to my next comment. I bought this in the tube which keeps the antioxidants more potent than it would be if it was in the tub. Also, I live in Canada and I bought this online from Sephora. You can't get this product in Canada so you have to order from the FAB site or Sephora, which is a hassel. This is my first tube, and I didn't know what to expect but in the end it really has turned my skin around I will repurchase. The tube (70.9g, 2.5 oz) is around $15 American. What I paid on sephora including shipping was around $30 Cdn.
[According to the bottle] :This cream does not have parbens, harsh chemicals or colorants. It is an intense therapy skin protectant with anti-oxidants. It is used to hydrate dry, parched skin, relieve minor irritation and itching due to eczema and other conditions. For face and body.

  2. Hello Shea Butter,

Thank you for sharing your experience with us. I don't have eczema but I am really glad I discover this, it's great for just plain dry sensitive skin too.

I bought this at the store and they only carry this in a jar. Eventhough the jar is cheaper, you are right, the tube is more hygenic and would better retain antioxidant. Actually if you carry a big purse, a tube of this would make excellent hand cream.
